WESSON — Services for Douglas E. Knight Jr. were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Utica with the Rev. Dave Stringline officiating. Burial followed at Cayuga Cemetery in Hinds County.

Mr. Knight died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at King’s Daughters Hospital in Brookhaven. He was 70.

A native of West Monroe, Mr. Knight was reared in Utica and Ellisville. He attended Jones Junior College and the University of Southern Mississippi. He retired from the IBEW Electrical Union.

He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, Army and National Guard. He was a resident of Wesson and a member of Hazlehurst United Methodist Church.

Survivors include Donna Dubosh of Terry; one son, Douglas “Dutch” Knight III of Bay St. Louis; his father, Douglas E. Knight Sr. of Laurel; a sister, Beverly Cagle of Atlanta; a half-brother, Perry E. Knight of Hattiesburg; and two grandchildren.
