Vicksburg dumps No. 2 Lanier|[01/30/08]

The Vicksburg Gators defeated Caledonia 3-1 on Wednesday in the first round of the Class 4A state playoffs. The Gators will host Pontotoc (24-1) on Saturday.
Chucky Hayden scored a goal on an assist from Patrick Parker for a 1-0 lead. Parker then scored an unassisted goal and Ryan Ferrington added the third goal on an assist from Caleb White.
The Gators are the only county team left in the playoffs.
