PORT GIBSON — Cathleen Harmon died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. She was 103.

A lifelong resident of Claiborne County, Mrs. Harmon was a member of Port Gibson United Methodist Church. With her husband, she owned and operated Deer Park Store for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Harmon; a daughter, Ruby Louise Parker; her parents, Sidney and Lilian Sorrels; three brothers, Aubert Sorrels Sr., Everette Sorrels Sr. and Sidney Sorrels; and six sisters, Edith Sorrels, Vivian Reeves, Myrtie Taylor, Annie Laurie Boren, Lilian Mangum and Lillie Belle Hart.

Survivors include one sister, Virginia Seawright of Vicksburg; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson with the Rev. David Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from noon until the service.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Ashley, Joey French, William Anderson, Mike Greer, Lou Parker and Johnny Spencer.
