Audrey Hartman went 3-for-3 with a triple, Londen Ladner hit an over-the-fence home run, and Northwest Rankin shut out Warren Central 10-0 Thursday in Flowood. Northwest jumped out to an 8-0 lead after two innings and finished it by the mercy rule with single runs in the fifth and sixth.

Mandy Fuller went 3-for-3 for Warren Central (10-7), which left nine runners on base. Only two of its seven hits came back-to-back.

“We’re not hitting the ball well,” WC coach Lucy Young said.

Warren Central will try to bounce back in the Brookhaven tournament on Saturday. WC will play Enterprise-Lincoln at 10:10 a.m., Brookhaven at 12:30 p.m., and Franklin County at 1:40.
