Joe Pettway of Buford Construction uses a track excavator to work the slope where rock will be deposited to help keep a new bridge on Redbone Road from washing out. The 3-month project cost $442,000 and is being paid by the State Aid Division of the Mississippi Department of Transportation. Pettway said the bridge should be open to traffic by the end of this month after erosion control, guard rails, shoulder gravel and asphalt are added on the site.
