Dennis Wayne Jones

Dennis Wayne Jones, 55, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at River Region Medical Center.
A native of Picayune, he lived a number of years in Gainsville, Miss. For the past 25 years, he had been making his home in Vicksburg where he owned Jones Plumbing Co. He was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and was an executive with the Boy Scouts of America. He was an avid outdoorsman and was of the Baptist faith.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Kent Campbell officiating, and interment will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Survivors include his wife, Beth Davidson Jones; a son, Brandon Jones of Hattiesburg; two stepdaughters, Kelsey Mitchell and Sharon Acuff, both of Vicksburg; a sister, Linda O’Callaghan and husband John of Trussville, Ala.; and two brothers, Billy Jones and wife Bernadette of Baton Rouge and Randy Jones and wife Lauren of Zachary, La.
Pallbearers will be Braden Murphy, Kevin Jones, Jason Jones, Daniel Norwood, Shane Acuff, Glenn J. Davidson and David Hilderbrand.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Dahl, Jessie Thomas, Jimmy Johnston, Anthony Moore, John Arnold, Webber Brewer, Bill Bailey, Robert Ulmer, Bill McCleese and Dannie Skipper.
