City woman says men held gun, ran after ransacking her house|CRIME

A Vicksburg woman told police three men entered her home, held her at gunpoint and escaped with $120.

The woman, who lives in the 1400 block of Maulding Drive, a short street just east of Fort Hill Drive, said three men kicked in her back door and ordered her to lie on the floor.

As one held a gun over her, the others ransacked her house and demanded money, Lt. Bobby Stewart of the Vicksburg Police Department said.

They ran out through the damaged door, the victim said.

City woman jailed for probation violation

A Vicksburg woman was in the Warren County Jail this morning, charged on a warrant with violation of probation.

Shequita Evans, 22, 1415 Hayes St., was arrested Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Vicksburg Police Station.

Bond was set at $2,500.

Jewelry hot in county; two residences hit

Two rings, a diamond wedding set and diamond cluster, valued at $2,200 were reported stolen Wednesday at 5:31 p.m. from the 200 block of Allen Place.

Two gold wedding bands with a combined value of $3,000 were reported stolen Thursday morning at 12:49 a.m. from the 100 block of South Drive.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Department was investigating.
