Services for Jesse Dotson Jr. will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Arnita Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Dotson died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was 82.

Mr. Dotson was retired from the U.S. Army and the Corps of Engineers’ Mat Sinking Unit. He was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Dotson and Josie Lark.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian R. Dotson of Vicksburg; daughter, Debbie Dotson Hughes of McComb; stepsons, Ollie Rush Jr. and Jake P. Rush, both of Vicksburg; stepdaughters, Ollie Ross and Judith Rush, both of Vicksburg; a brother, Woodrow Wilson of Greenville; one granddaughter; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
