TALLULAH — Nolan E. Mahoney Sr. died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Olive Branch Senior Care Center in Tallulah. He was 83.

Mr. Nolan was born in Gilbert, La., and had lived in Madison Parish since 1964. He was a retired farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include five sons, Nolan E. Mahoney Jr., Wayne E. Mahoney, David Mahoney and Larry D. Mahoney, all of Tallulah, and Paul Mahoney of Tendal; four daughters, Dianne Carter of Jasper, Ark., Beth Swafford of Dunn and Laura Reece and Pam Moore, both of Tallulah; 28 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. John W. Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Harris Cemetery in Crowville. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
