The engagement of Jamie Joyner to Allen Cassell is announced today. The wedding will be June 2, 2012, in St. Louis, Mo. A family reception will be from 3 until 5 p.m. June 23 at Magnolia Grove, the home of Brenda and Jeff Roberts, 2011 Powells Ferry in Port Gibson. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the reception.

Miss Joyner is the daughter of Steve and Cathy Joyner of St. Louis. She is the granddaughter of Dave and Jeannette Moenning and Shirley Joyner and the late Jerry Joyner, all of St. Louis.

Mr. Cassell is the son of Jimmy Cassell of Port Gibson and Becki Boren Stoudt of Prairie City, Iowa. He is the grandson of Jim and Lillie Cassell and the late Mary Ola Cassell and the late Allen and Sallie Boren, all of Port Gibson.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Mehlville High School. She graduated in 2009 from Mississippi State University, where she was a member of the volleyball team and M-Club Association.

A registered dietitian, Miss Joyner works part-time at St. Luke’s Hospital and part-time at NutriFormance LLC.

The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Porters Chapel Academy. He graduated in 2009 from Mississippi State University, where he was a member of the track and field team and M-Club Association.

Mr. Cassell is a senior contract analyst for Amerinet.
