EDWARDS — Services for Eric Bernard “Booma” Thompson will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark M.B. Church in Edwards with Pastor Jerry Collier officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 until 6 p.m. Friday at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.

Mr. Thompson died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was 47.

He was a graduate of Hinds Agricultural High School and Hinds Community College. He worked for UPS for 16 years and was later employed with Werner Trucking Co.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Thompson; and three uncles and three aunts.

Survivors include a daughter, Constance Dillard of Vicksburg; his mother, Lessie Thompson of Edwards; two grandchildren; and aunts, uncles and other relatives, including Betty Thompson and Bessie Thompson, both of Edwards.
