Herbert Wallace Curry

BROOKHAVEN — Herbert Wallace Curry died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012. He was 54.
Mr. Curry was born in Vicksburg. He was a graduate of Greenville High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education from Lane College in Jackson, Tenn. Mr. Curry was employed in the medical industry for many years and as a substitute teacher in Brookhaven public schools.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Annie Curry; his brother, Wardell Thomas Miles; and a sister, Doris Elizabeth Miles Chambers.
Survivors include a son, Jason Richard Curry of Kansas City, Kan.; four brothers, his twin, Hubert Wallace Curry of Brookhaven, Louis Alfred Miles and Harry Wayne Wallace, both of Vicksburg, and Karl Francis Wallace of Atoka, Tenn.; five sisters, Greta Ratler of San Francisco, Sarah Ruth Bailey of Chicago, Jacqueline Tucker Dotson of Greenville, Ethel W. Larkins of El Paso, Texas, and Shirley Wallace-Brown of Yorktown, Va.; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including Kim Curry.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at King David M.B. Church in Vicksburg. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until the service at the church.
