The engagement of Quintessa Rochelle Dyess of Jackson to Johnny E. Gibson III of Vicksburg is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 5 p.m. April 21, 2012, at Rainbow Arena. A reception will follow. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Dyess is the daughter of Shannon Dyess-Magee of Jackson. She is the granddaughter of William Dyess of Enterprise and Mamie T. Dyess of Shubuta.

Mr. Gibson is the son of Dr. Johnny E. Gibson and Cynthia Gibson of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Avone and Roosevelt Russell of Savannah, Ga.; Mary Stokes of Lexington; and Johnny Torey of Chicago.

The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Quitman High School. She received a pharmacy degree from Virginia College.

The prospective groom is a 2006 graduate of Warren Central High School. He received a surgical technology degree from Virginia College.
