DENTVILLE — Verna Herren Malone Hood, a former Vicksburg resident, died Nov. 22, 2010, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She was 75.

Survivors include a son, Shelley Malone of Dallas; and a daughter, Kasmin Shappel of Carmel, Calif.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dentville Community Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Mayer officiating.
