Frank Wilson Gambrell III

PORT GIBSON — Services for Frank Wilson Gambrell III will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Christian Fellowship Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Randal Burge officiating. Burial will follow at Garden Memorial Park in Jackson. Visitation will be from 2 until 6 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home in Vicksburg.
Mr. Gambrell died Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. He was 58.
He was a resident of Port Gibson, where he was a member of New Christian Fellowship Church. He worked in construction and was a teacher with the Port Gibson Public Schools.
Mr. Gambrell graduated from Coahoma Agricultural High School in Clarksdale and served in the Army as an emergency medical technician. He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Alcorn State University.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank W. Jr. and Irma Gambrell.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Gambrell IV of Port Gibson and JeCorry Miller of Clarksdale; two sisters, Dwilette G. McFarland of Vicksburg and Donna G. Anderson of Pearland, Texas; one granddaughter; three nephews; two nieces; and cousins, other relatives and friends.
