Leon Jerome Drake died Friday, June 1, 2012 at River Region Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was 89.

Mr. Drake was retired from Mississippi Action for Progress as a bus driver and was a self-employed county garbage collector. He was a member and Deacon of the Providence M.B. Church and veteran of the United States Army.

Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
