Schroeder and Wing to marry on Sept. 22

Lt. Col. and Mrs. W. Paul Schroeder of Niceville, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Amanda, to Jonathan Baxter Wing of Dayton, Ohio. Mr. Wing is the son of Joy Wing of Vicksburg and Douglas Y. Wing of Jackson.
Miss Schroeder is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Verle Weaver of Washington, D.C., and the late Frederick George and Maryjane Schroeder of Media, Pa.
Mr. Wing is the grandson of the late Jim Lawrence Chow Sr. and Mary Chu Chow of Greenville and Hin Luck Wing and the late Mae Kim Wing of Oxford.
The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Niceville High School, where she was a member of Entre Nous, the women’s golf team and Niceville United Methodist Student Ministries. She served as a student intern with White Wilson Medical.
She received a surgical nursing degree from the University of Mississippi.
She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and was named Model Pledge of the Nation.
Miss Schroeder is pursuing her Ohio State Nursing License.
The prospective groom is a 2002 graduate of Warren Central High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club and varsity tennis team.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering from Mississippi State University and a Master of Science degree in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Florida.
He was a member of the Air Force ROTC and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
Mr. Wing is a captain in the U.S. Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
Vows will be exchanged at 5 p.m. Sept. 22, 2012, at Shalimar United Methodist Church in Shalimar, Fla. A reception will follow at Eglin Bayview Club.
