Warren County sheriff’s deputies on Saturday arrested a second man wanted in the July burglary of a home on Oak Street, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

He said deputies arrested Sam Stampley, 20, 2215 Pearl St., on a warrant charging him with burglary and grand larceny in the July 26 burglary of the home in the 3500 block.

Stampley was arrested at his home about 6:30 a.m. Saturday and was held without bond in the Warren County Jail awaiting a court appearance.

Wesley Evans, 35, 2006 Pearl St., surrendered to the sheriff’s department Aug. 8. He remained in the county jail on $5,000 bond.

The two are accused of stealing items from the home. The sheriff’s department was asked to investigate the burglary, Pace said, though the Vicksburg police crime scene unit processed the burglary.
