Mildred Duffey Ryan of Vicksburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at her residence. She was 85.

Ms. Ryan loved to read, cook and sew and was a Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of St. Paul Altar Society and a life member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include her sons, John Michael Ryan of Vicksburg, James Duffey Ryan (Julia) of Tallahassee, Fla., and Charles Council Ryan (LinMarie) of Beaumont, Texas; daughters, Ellen Ryan Jenkins (Mike) of Brandon, Milly Ryan Harshman (James) of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada; a sister, Edna Workman (Les) of Mendenhall; four grandchildren, Eric Jenkins, Chris Harshman, Jamie Harshman and Tim Harshman; and special children, Kristen Veal, Tommy Jenkins, Brian Welch and Molly Welch.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church with Monsignor Patrick Farrell officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the service Monday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Mike Jenkins, James Harshman, Chris Harshman, Tommy Jenkins, Jeb Veal and Duffey Ryan.
