Gladys Sears Dykes died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2012. She was 95.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reed Dykes.

She is survived by her son, Gary Dykes (Jody); her grandson, Todd Dykes; her granddaughter, Dana Masterson (Dr. Calvin); and her great-grandchildren, Raegan Dykes and Joshua, Jonah, Anna McKenzie, Olivia and Sophie Masterson.

Gladys and Reed Dykes co-founded Dykes Furniture Center in 1947.

She was employed by the Mississippi State Board of Health as the Warren County registrar for births and deaths from 1936 to 1979.

Services were held today at Riles Funeral Home with Pastor Terry White officiating.

Pallbearers were David Anderson, Ben Chappell, Tommy Dykes, Steve Ellis, Bob Geary and Larry Kilgo.

Honorary pallbearers were Bill Barner, Anna Katherine Cockerham, Dr. Calvin Masterson and members of the Dorcas Sunday school class of Bowmar Baptist Church.
