Services for Carrie Lynn Smith will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greater Grove Street M.B. with the Rev. Casey D. Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 5 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. She was 80.

She was a retired private-duty worker and was a member of Mount Olive M.B. Church, where she was on the mother’s board.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lester Lynn; her mother, Sarah Lynn; her husband, Mason Smith; four brothers, Samuel Lynn, Tommy Lynn, Willie Lynn and George Brown; two sisters, Creather Winger and Vivian Washington; one daughter, Rose Ann Lynn; and four sons, Robert Thomas, Walter Thompson, Albert Lynn and James Lynn.

Survivors include a daughter, Earline Thompson of Vicksburg; two brothers, James Lynn and Anderson Lynn, both of Vicksburg; a sister, Lee Esther Lynn Rounds of Vicksburg; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including MacArthur White of Chicago.
