Mississippi’s Cultural Crossroads will host its 24th annual quilt contest and exhibition, “Pieces and Strings,” at 11 a.m. Friday at the Quilt Gallery, 509 Market St. in Port Gibson.

The awards ceremony will feature light snacks and a performance by Nellie McInnis and Co.

The quilts will hang in the gallery through April 30. Winning entries will be on display at the Mississippi Museum of Art from May until August.
