A look at how players from Vicksburg-area high schools did in college football games played over the weekend

• Mississippi State kicker Devon Bell (Warren Central) made his only PAT attempt and had a 31-yard field goal attempt blocked in a 38-7 loss to top-ranked Alabama. Bell also kicked off twice.

• Mississippi College wide receiver Les Lemons (Vicksburg High) caught six passes for 88 yards and one touchdown in a 34-24 loss to East Texas Baptist. Lemons’ touchdown was a 3-yarder in the fourth quarter.

• Murray State defensive back Darius Buck (Warren Central) had four solo tackles and a pass breakup in a 38-35 loss to Jacksonville State.

• Tarleton State wide receiver Cordell Valentine (Warren Central) caught one pass for three yards in a 45-20 win over Incarnate Word.
