BeRoy Moore

PORT GIBSON — BeRoy Moore died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Heritage House Retirement Center. He was 90.

Born in Copiah County, he was the son of the late Shelby Anderson Moore and Lillie Mae Blue Moore. Mr. Moore was a former resident of Utica and had lived in Port Gibson for 12 years. He was a cattleman and farmer while living in Utica and, in later years, was an employee of Magnolia Mobile Homes. Mr. Moore was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, LeRoy Moore of Vicksburg; and two sisters and three brothers.

He is survived by four daughters, JoAnn Monk and Linda Keen, both of Vicksburg, Dorothy Trim of Port Gibson and Hazle Goodson of Potosi, Mo.; a son, James Ellis Moore of Vicksburg; two sisters, Gladys Boyd and Lillian Mosner, both of Mobile, Ala.; and nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Hermanville Cemetery with the Rev. Dwight Sibley officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Keen, Brandon Bailey, Jerry Trim, Jamie Moore, Michael Milburn and Thomas Keen.
