Auto parts worker

goes extra mile

On Feb. 24, I discovered that I had a low beam headlight on my car that had failed. I called a local car dealership and get an estimate on replacement and repair. I was quoted a price of $124 to do a light replacement and installation. I then went to a local auto parts store and was told all I really needed was a low beam bulb. I purchased one for $8.99, but no one there could put it in the car for me. I then drove to a local car repair garage. I asked if they would install bulb for me, for a fee of course. The gentleman behind the counter said sure, it will be easy to do but insisted that he would be glad to do it for free!

He did so. I tried several times to pay him but he insisted that is was nothing. I would name his place of business but I would not want to infringe on his hospitality, graciousness and huge heart for doing good deeds.

It is so refreshing to encounter and realize that there are still decent and beautiful human beings still among us. I left with a massive smile on my face and a promise to myself to pay it forward.
