A man accused of trying to strangle his girlfriend remained in the Warren County Jail today.

Mack Taylor, 33, 1501½ Military Ave., was arrested about 6:15 a.m. Monday and charged with aggravated domestic violence following a fight at his home with his girlfriend, police Lt. Sandra Williams said.

The woman was treated and released from River Region Medical Center, Williams said.

Taylor made his initial court appearance Monday and bail was set at $50,000 on the domestic violence charge, but he is being held for the Mississippi Department of Corrections for violating his probation, Williams said.
