DELTA CITY — David Alan Arrington died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Hollandale. He was 36.
A lifelong resident of Delta City, Mr. Arrington was a farm manager and worked for Hollingsworth & Company. He graduated from Sharkey-Issaquena Academy and was a member of Delta City Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Alan Arrington; and his father, Jeff Arthur Arrington Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Lacie Ford Arrington of Delta City; two daughters, Myles Cooper Arrington and Mattie Grace Arrington, both of Delta City; his mother, Elouise Arrington Sullivan of Delta City; one brother, Jeff A. Arrington Jr. of Glen Allan; and one sister, Laura Burrell of Anchorage, Alaska.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rolling Fork United Methodist Church with the Revs. Nick Smith and Beth Miller officiating. Burial will be at Golden Link Cemetery in Anguilla under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home of Rolling Fork. Visitation will be at the church Thursday from 9 a.m. until the service.
Pallbearers will be Tom Price, Trey Chaney, Mike Tullos, Brad Clinkscales, Harry Patton and Leroy Frey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Durst, Buddy Vandevender, Bob Price, Johnny Smith, Jerry Stevens, Bubba Cooper, Buddy Strong, Gary Eifling, Ricky Cox, Neal Clinkscales, Billy Davis, Pat Patton, Bob McGehee, Gil Corban, Jimmy Brown, Fred Miller and Russ Stigall.
