A Warren County man whose experimental plane tipped over upon landing at his private airstrip Saturday night was not injured, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
Brad Blake, 60, 6770 U.S. 61 North, was bringing his private one-seater plane in around 7:15 p.m. at his airstrip just east of U.S. 61 North about a mile north of the city limits, said Pace.
“It appears the landing gear got hung up in the tall grass around the airstrip as he approached,” the sheriff said. “He came in a little too low and a little too soon.”
The plane, which tipped nose-over, received minimal damages, and Blake was not injured, Pace said.
