Elijah “June” Napolian Jr., a Vicksburg native, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in Hines, Ill., at the Hines Veterans Facility. He was 64.

Mr. Napolian was a 1968 graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School and attended Hinds Community College. He served as an electrician in the U.S. Air Force for 14 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah and Lucille Woods Napolian Sr.; three brothers, George Woods, Willie Jackson and Robert Woods; and a sister, Edna Garrett.

He is survived by six sisters, Alice Gross of Marnetta, Ga., Mamie Smith and Leanna Winston, both of Fayetteville, N.C., the Rev. Mary Frances Jones of Chicago, Betty Roseboro of Vicksburg and Evangelist Margaret Davis of Mount Vernon, N.Y.; a brother, Joseph Napolian of Jacksonville, Fla.; and nieces, nephews, cousins and others including Albert Burns and Hattie Ballew, both of Chicago.

Services will be at noon Tuesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Johnnie L. Williams Sr., officiating and W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge.
