A Vicksburg man wanted on a warrant in a drive-by shooting nearly a month ago was jailed today, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

Jeremy Austin, 24, 5610 Gibson Road, was arrested at 1 this morning after a vehicle in which he was a passenger was stopped for a traffic violation in the 4000 block of U.S. 61 South.

He is a suspect in a drive-by shooting in the 1100 block of Jefferson Street Aug. 20 that damaged three vehicles, Stewart said.

Austin was in the Issaquena County Jail without bail.
