Mrs. Lelia S. Walker, age 89, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg.
Mrs. Walker was born in Lake, Miss., and lived in Vicksburg for 60 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Heaven Bound Adult 5 Sunday school class at Bowmar Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.D. Walker; her grandson, Shane Walker; and a number of brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Walker of College Park, Ga., John Walker of Lake Helen, Fla., and Dennis Walker and his wife, Sandy, of Deltona, Fla.; her daughters, Sue White and her husband, Stan, of Lima, Ohio, and Ann Kimball and her husband, Kenny, of Bastrop, La.; her grandchildren, Glenda Luke and husband Brian, Penny Nelson, Amy Efrid and husband Brian, Abby Osha and husband Christian, DeAnn Morris and husband Nathan, Brandi Smith and Kyle Stimmell; her sisters, Ina Lucus of Chicago, Frances Talbert of Chicago and Lucille Myers of Richland, Miss.; and her special family friends, Marian Mulligan and her husband, Danny, Elizabeth Cothran, Sarah Maryalice and Lilly Mulligan.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry White officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30 until 7:30 tonight at Glenwood and one hour before the service on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Clyde Posey Jr., Mike McGee, Lee Robertson, Justin Moudy, Glenn Knight and T.J. Kimball.
Honorary pallbearers will be Fran Hoben, Dr. Lamar McMillin, Dr. Walter Johnston, Joe Graves and Heaven Bound Adult 5 Sunday school class.
