Dewey Rodgers Jr.

Dewey Rodgers Jr. died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. He was 85.
Born in Warren, Ark., Mr. Rodgers had lived in Vicksburg since 1997. He was a retired budget analyst with the Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg. He was a member of NARFE and Refuge Church of Vicksburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theo and Dewey Rodgers Sr.; and his wife, Marian “Mickey” Rodgers.
He is survived by three sons, Tim Rodgers and Richard Rodgers, both of Vicksburg, and Randy Rodgers of Manchester, Calif.; one daughter, Tere Rodgers Crutchfield of Vicksburg; a sister, Patti Cameron of Warren; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Glenwood Funeral Home with Tony Winkler and Ted Crotwell officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Thursday until the service.
Pallbearers will be Reed Rodgers, Joshua Rodgers, Greg Scurria, Syd Johnston, Brad Babb, Don Cameron and Rodger Cameron.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Paul Pierce III, Dr. Paul Pierce IV, Dr. John Agnone, David and Regina Foster and members of Refuge Church.
