In celebration of the new movie ‘The Lorax’ my World History class is having an assignment to spread the word about the importance of trees to a populous city of a given state. In the movie trees are said to be an important part of any society. They are one of nature’s best cleaning systems for air. Without trees the air quality goes down, making the air more polluted and increasing health problems for a city. Trees do not just filter the air, they also filter the soil around it making the soil more likable for flowers and other plant life. Trees also lower run-off, or free moving water, after rain or storms so that it doesn’t puddle or flood in certain locations. Besides helping the air and soil, they also have a natural beauty that can lighten up any location.
