Anise Greene died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Covenant Health and Rehab of Vicksburg. She was 70.

She was a member of Zion Chapel A.M.E. Church in Natchez. She served as the president of the Usher Board and a member of the Missionary Society until her health began to fail. She was a graduate of the Nursing Program at Mississippi Valley State University. She retired in June 2008 as a nurse from Natchez Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and one stepson.

Survivors include her son, Michael Colston (Beverly) of Vicksburg; daughter, Cheryl Jones (Willie) of Crystal Springs; sister, Dr. Mary Newell of Tallahassee, Fla.; stepson, John Greene III of Irving, Texas; two stepdaughters, Leigh Ester Watkins and Juanita P. Greene, both of Irving; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Zion Chapel A.M.E. in Natchez. Burial will follow at Watkins Street Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Thursday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home and Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.
