A Vicksburg man accused of burglarizing a car in broad daylight was behind bars today.
Herman Tyler Jr., 18, 151 Elizabeth Circle, was arrested at 4:48 p.m. and charged with auto burglary, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.
At 3:40 p.m., witnesses saw Tyler break into a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier in the 100 block of Alcorn Drive and take a purse valued at $50, Stewart said. The purse had not been recovered this morning, Stewart said.
Tyler was held in the Warren County Jail this morning on a $15,000 bond.
