Vernon Sibley

Vernon “Wayne” Sibley died Friday, June 15, 2012, at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland. He was 64.
Mr. Sibley was a native and lifelong resident of Vicksburg. He was a member of Millwright 619 Local where he was a welder and millwright. He was a member of Wilderness Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Elbert and Susie Sibley; his brother, H.C. Sibley; and his sister, Jesse Marie Stroot.
He is survived by his wife, Judy A. Sibley of Vicksburg; his son, Jason Sibley of Vicksburg; his daughter, Nikki Smith of Bolton; three brothers, Charles Sibley and Robert Sibley, both of Vicksburg, and Jessie Sibley of Indiana; four sisters, Susie Pettway of Vicksburg, Peggy Nezat of Raceland, La., Jewel Graham of Paducah, Ky., and Mary Ann Mathes; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Sibley officiating. Burial followed at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robbie Sibley, Travis Sibley, Ray Mathes, John Mathes, Brandon Smith, Trent Smith, Rick Arnold, Tyler Robinson and Jeremy Robinson. Honorary pallbearers were the men of Wilderness Baptist Church.
