Hattie Ardelphia Beatrice Tugg

Following a courageous battle with cancer, Hattie Ardelphia Beatrice Tugg of Kilbourne, La., went to be with the Lord Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, surrounded by her family and friends.

Mrs. Tugg was the eldest child of William Floyd and Jessie Beatrice Welch. She was born on Oct. 10, 1934, in Darnell, Ark. She later relocated to Eudora, Ark, where she married and raised her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William Izac Welch.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Leo Johnston Jr., William Lee Johnston and Jimmy Brian Johnston, all of Kilbourne; four daughters, Brenda B. Mobley, Flora Jean Johnston and Rebecca Diane Anderson, all of Kilbourne, and Deborah Lee Baker of Mount Pleasant, Iowa; four brothers, Grover Floyd Welch, Henry Lincoln Welch, Billy Wayne Welch and Elvis Welch, all of Eudora; three sisters, Bessie Irene Davis of Shaw, Miss., Ovie Leana Evans of Eudora and Wanda Lee Tice of Vicksburg; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be today, Jan. 15, 2012, starting at 2 p.m. at New Life Family Worship Center in Eudora.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at New Life Family Worship Center. Burial will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Couch, Christopher Johnston, Nathan Chennault, Chris Holiman, Randall Wiggins and Clifford Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be Winston Sibley and Ronald Welch.
