The engagement of Julie Adcock Jones to Tyrel Thompson, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 11, 2012, at Wilderness Baptist Church, 5415 Gibson Road. A reception will follow at the church. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Ms. Jones is the daughter of John and Judy Adcock of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Earline and Clyde Kirkley and the late Berniece and Chandler Adcock.

Mr. Thompson is the son of Larry and Nancy Thompson of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Joyce Keys and the late Charles and Daisy Jones.

The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Vicksburg High School. She attended Hinds Community College and is employed with WVBG V105.5 Radio.

The prospective groom is a 1994 graduate of Pace High School in Pensacola, Fla. He is employed with Texas Iron & Metal.
