Services for William C. “Bubba” Bowman Jr. will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Mount Elem M.B. Church with Dr. Leonard Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.

Mr. Bowman died Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. He was 61.

Mr. Bowman was a 1969 graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School and attended Utica Junior College and Mississippi Valley State University. He worked as a surveyor with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. Bowman Sr. and Cleola I. Bowman Gant; and two brothers, Connie Bowman and Larry Bowman.

Survivors include his wife, Mary White Bowman of Vicksburg; two daughters, Ebonie Bowman Davis of Vicksburg and Airrica Bowman Thomas of Southaven; a son, Airrinton Bowman of Vicksburg; a stepson, Airrion Galloway of Vicksburg; one brother, William P. Bowman of Dallas; five sisters, Eunice Smith, Cheryl Davis, Tamara Antwine, Brenda Bowman and Elise Chambers, all of Vicksburg; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
