The engagement of Yvette Denise Brown to Richard Hyland, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 5 p.m. June 16, 2012, at Triumph Church. A reception will follow at Battlefield Inn. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Ms. Brown is the daughter of Queen Brown of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Mary Wilson and Herman Scott of Hollandale.

Mr. Hyland is the son of Shirley Hyland Parson and the late Benjamin Parson of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Doreatha H. Calvin and the late Eddie R. Calvin of Vicksburg.
