Miss Winstead to wed Mr. Robinson Dec. 15

Terrell and Sandra Winstead of Union announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber, to Charles Lee “Trey” Robinson III of Starkville. Mr. Robinson is the son of Lee and Amy Robinson of Vicksburg.
Miss Winstead is the granddaughter of Bonnie Savell and the late Wayne Savell and Ann Winstead and the late Gary Winstead, all of Union.
Mr. Robinson is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lee Robinson of Raymond and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Pugh of Vicksburg.
The bride-elect is a 2008 honor graduate of Union High School, where she was salutatorian and a member of the Hall of Fame, All State Baptist Youth Choir and Orchestra, Beta Club and Drama Club. She served as drum major of the UHS Marching Band and as vice president of the Mississippi FBLA Central District.
In May, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in professional meteorology with an emphasis in broadcast from Mississippi State University. She was an MSU Roadrunner, a member of Chi Omega sorority and served as student media relations assistant for the Athletic Department. She also served as treasurer of the East Mississippi chapter of the National Weather Association and American Meteorological Society and as the director of communications for Mortar Board honor society.
Miss Winstead began her career at WJHG in Panama City Beach, Fla., as weekend meteorologist/reporter. She plans to pursue a master’s degree in mathematics from MSU.
The prospective groom is a 2007 graduate of Warren Central High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, Madrigal Singers and Total Sound show choir. He was a member of the varsity football team, receiving the Linebacker Award and the Viking Award.
He is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University, where he will graduate in December. He is a member of Phi Lambda Theta honor society and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He has served as a surveying teaching assistant for two years in the College of Engineering.
Mr. Robinson will pursue his master’s degree at MSU.
The wedding will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 15, 2012, at County Line Baptist Church in Union. A reception will follow. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
