A Vicksburg man accused of shooting out a tire of a moving car was in jail this morning.

Keith Edwin Craig, 23, 1414 Greenhill Road, was arrested at 2:23 p.m. Thursday following a traffic stop where he was a passenger, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

Craig is charged with two counts of attempted aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied vehicle.

He is accused of shooting out the tire of a 2000 Dodge Stratus near Crawford and Locust streets at 7:37 p.m. Monday, Stewart said.

Craig and the driver had been fighting over a woman and when the driver tried to flee, Craig pulled a gun and shot out the tire, Stewart said.

Craig was held this morning in the Issaquena County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.
