Free shredding offered for private documents

“Shred It and Forget It,” a movement to allow residents to have sensitive papers shredded before disposal, will be free on March 10 at BancorpSouth’s South Street office.
“The purpose of the event is to promote consumer protection and awareness of identity theft, one of the fastest-growing crimes in the country and the state,” said a release from the State of Mississippi.
Each resident is limited to five bags of documents for the shredding, between 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on that Saturday.
The bank is at 820 South St.
