Playground upgrade a credit to volunteers

We would like to thank the many volunteers and businesses that supported the recently completed playground improvement project at Warren Central Intermediate School.
A Lowes Toolbox for Education Grant along with donations from Anderson-Tully, McCoy’s, Pizza Inn and the Schweitzer Family made this project possible. Cory Schweitzer, Boy Scout Troop 102 member and former WCI student, made this his Eagle Scout project.
We would not have been able to complete this project before school started without Cory’s help. He recruited and coordinated fellow Troop 102 scouts and parents who contributed more than 100 volunteer hours installing new equipment and spreading pea gravel and mulch. Additional volunteer and financial support was provided by the WCI parents and teachers. The children of WCI love their spruced up play area and are blessed to have such a caring and sharing community.
