Services for Lou Emma Moore will be at noon Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. until the service.

Mrs. Moore died Friday, April 20, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. She was 83.

She retired from ParkView Regional Medical Center after 28 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.B. Moore; her parents, Aaron Jackson and Marie Bland Smith; two sisters, Lillie Jackson and Marie Beck; and four brothers, Isaac King, Willie Smith, Eddy Smith and Arthur “Coal Oil” Pendleton.

Survivors include a daughter, Hannah Austin of Vicksburg; two brothers, William Smith and Henry Smith, both of Newellton, La.; four sisters, Gertrude Smith and Vanilla Mack, both of Newellton, Susie Butterfield of Norfolk, Va., and Rose Mary Lusk of Dallas; three granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; and other relatives, including James Austin of Vicksburg.
