Carr, Morse to marry June 23

Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Lyndal Carr Jr. of Tupelo, formerly of Vicksburg, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lacy Elizabeth, to Landon Patrick Morse. Mr. Morse is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Alan Brodsky and Lande Shane Morse, all of Vermillion, S.D.
Miss Carr is the granddaughter of Mrs. Gordon Lyndal Carr Sr. and the late Mr. Carr of Vicksburg and Lamar Tracy Loe and Georgia Cook Loe, both of Jackson and formerly of Vicksburg.
Mr. Morse is the grandson of LaRena Virginia Morse and the late Alan Gene Morse and Joan Brodsky and the late Raymond Emil Brodsky, all of Vermillion, the late Patricia Ann Schaer of Laurel, Neb., and the late Marvin Frederick Schaer of Grand Island, Neb.
The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Tupelo High School, where she was a varsity cheerleader and a member of the National Honor Society and Anchor Club.
She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Mississippi, where she was on the dean’s list and a member of Kappa Delta sorority.
Miss Carr is a staffing consultant for Express Employment Professionals in Tupelo.
The prospective groom is a 2000 graduate of Vermillion High School, where he was a member of the basketball and state championship football teams.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of South Dakota and his secondary teaching license from Metropolitan State College of Denver, where he was on the dean’s list.
Mr. Morse is a history teacher at Tupelo High School.
The wedding will be at 6:30 p.m. June 23, 2012, at First United Methodist Church of Tupelo. A reception will follow at the home of the bride’s parents.
