Wesley Ray Rowland and Maggie Marie Nations were married at 5:30 p.m. May 19, 2012, at The Duff Green Mansion in Vicksburg. The Rev. Nicholas Wolfe, brother-in-law of the groom, Agricola, Miss., officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Linda Blackwood of Pensacola, Fla., and Jerry Glenn Nations of St. Croix, Virgin Islands. She is the granddaughter of Carol Marie Justice and the late Rex Jerry Nations of Brookhaven and the late Raymond Earl Vernon and Maggie Miller Vernon of Jackson.

The groom is the son of Donna and Bubba Rowland. He is the grandson of Patricia H. Barker and the late Harold F. Barker and Margaret and Buddy Rowland, all of Vicksburg.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Nick Nations, of Jackson. Her chosen colors were royal blue and white.

Nuptial music was presented by Justin Patterson of Flowood.

Maid of honor was Keeley Blackwood, sister of the bride, of Pensacola.

The groom’s brother, Jay Rowland of Brandon, served as best man.

Ushers were Philip Hite and Zach Rowland, cousins of the groom, both of Vicksburg.

Wedding and reception director was Dianna Wolfe, Edwards.

A reception followed the ceremony.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to the Bahamas. They will make their home in Clinton.

Luncheon

Cheryl Hite, aunt of the groom, hosted a bridal lunch-eon at Anchuca the day before the wedding. Attending were mothers, grandmothers, sisters and nieces of both the bride and groom.

Rehearsal dinner

The groom’s parents hosted a catfish fry/rehearsal dinner at their home in Bovina.

Showers

The bride and groom were honored with a miscellaneous shower hosted by the ladies of Robert and Jeanine Hall’s Sunday school class at Bowmar Baptist Church.

A honey-do shower was hosted by the groom’s cousins, Jeff and Courtney Jernigan, Jay and Tammy Rowland, Zach Rowland, Andy Hite, Andy and Carrie Oakes, Brian and Bridgette Oakes, Philip Hite, John and Candice Reeder, Nick Nations and Katie Phillips, and Alex and Christie Rowland.

A kitchen shower honoring the bride was held at the Main Street Market Café, hosted by Sally Bullard and Ann Gee.
