J. Holley Messing

J. Holley Messing died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. She was 62.

A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, she was retired from the Waterways Experiment Station as a civil engineering technician for 36 years. She was an avid supporter of the Humane Society and was baptized at St. Paul Catholic Church.

She is survived by her mother, Ethel S. Holley of Vicksburg; two sisters, Vivian Lundberg of Silver Springs, Md., and Tracy Hennington of Madison; two brothers, Grady Holley Jr. and Henry Holley, both of Vicksburg; two nieces and four nephews.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. P.J. Curley officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service Monday.

Pallbearers will be Lee Jones, Freddie Jones, Michael Jones, Charlie Ring and Joe Coccaro.
