Vicksburg man charged with embezzlement

A Vicksburg man arrested Wednesday faces an embezzlement charge from May.

Marques Demby, 27, 902 Blossom Lane, Apartment C10, was arrested at about 3:30 p.m. after Vicksburg police responded to a report of a suspicious person walking around an apartment complex on Wisconsin Avenue, said Capt. Bobby Stewart

Demby was arrested on a warrant accusing him of embezzling $1,600 in steel from Poly Vulc on Haining Road on May 8.

He was being held in the Issaquena County Jail on a $50,000 bail, Stewart said.
