COLUMBUS, Ohio — Wendell Barnes Sr. died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, in Columbus, Ohio. He was 58.

Mr. Barnes is survived by a son, Wendell Barnes Jr. of Hermanville; three brothers, Frank Barnes of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Melvin Barnes and Robert Barnes, both of Columbus; one grandson; an uncle; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Awesome Christ Warrior Church in Port Gibson with Elder James Devine officiating, assisted by the Rev. Chester Watts. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson. Visitation will be at the church Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service.
